The international Fiumicino „Leonardo da Vinci“ is located about 30 km outside of the center of Rome. Airport Ciampino is a small single terminal airport around 15 km outside the city. Both are not connected to the local public transportation but it is easy to reach the city center of Rome by different means of transportation (please see below).

Metro (see map): There are three main Metro routes that makes it easy to get around fast. You can buy tickets before entering the Metro station in a ticket machine (Price single trip 1,50 €)

(website): Duration 35 min. (Price: 14 €)
Just follow the blue markings on the floor in the airport.

Taxi:
Duration 45 minutens (fixed price: 48 €)

Shuttle Bus: Outside the airport there are shuttle busses taking passengers to the Vatican city center

Terravision (website): Duration 1 hour (Price: 6 €)
Non-stop to the main train station Termini in the city center. From there you can take the Metro. If you buy your ticket in advance, the price is lower.

SIT Shuttle (website)
You can buy tickets online in advance. SIT offers different stops in the city.
